We love birds... and so should you!
The Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy is a grassroots, member-supported 501c3 tax-exempt organization based in Bay City, Michigan. We preserve land, protect water, and sustain life in the Saginaw Bay Watershed, Michigan's largest, and contribute to a higher quality of life in the communities we serve. Birds are everywhere, in every habitat, of our special watershed. We have a variety of unique resources, programs, and projects specifically geared toward our feathered friends.
Most notably, in 2013, the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy developed the Saginaw Bay Birding Trail with its partner, Michigan Audubon. The goal of this project remains to conect people with the incredible beauty and critical issues in our area and endear many to the cause of nature. The Conservancy maintains the Saginaw Bay Birding Trail and hosts www.saginawbaybirding.org, and enthusiast website that evolved out of the former Saginaw Bay Area Birding website, a resource for regional birders for many years. In 2015, we are proud to be part of teh team hosting the Midwest Birding Symposium right here in our home town!
