Habitat Response Team Member Volunteer Season: April 15th (approx.) - September 15th (approx.) Approximate Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per month
As a Habitat Response Team Member, you will manage invasive species through pesticide application and/or physical removal using hand tools. Team Members will be issued SBLC invasive species management equipment and personal protective gear, and will be responsible for the storage and maintenance of provided tools and equipment throughout the field season. Opportunities for working solo are likely after appropriate field time and training.The Habitat Response Team will be out in the field approximately 15-20 hours a month in a variety of locations along the beautiful Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron coastline.
Assignment schedule will vary due to weather and site visits can occur during daylight hours throughout the summer and early-fall at the volunteer’s convenience.
