SBLC Conserved Land Monitor Volunteer Season: April 15th (approx.) - September 15th (approx.) Time Commitment: Approximately 5-10 hours per month
As an SBLC Conserved Land Monitor, you will be responsible for assisting SBLC staff monitor conservation easements and nature preserves across the Saginaw Bay watershed by interacting with private property owners and recording observations while hiking and exploring the land. SBLC Site Monitors will be out in the field approximately 5-10 hours a month in a variety of locations within the beautiful Saginaw Bay area.
In order to be considered for this position, all interested parties must complete the following steps: 1) Contact SBLC Conservation Lead Trevor Edmonds at firstname.lastname@example.org. 2) Attend Conserved Lands Monitor Training on April 13th 3) Conduct a site visit with SBLC staff present
Assignment schedule will vary due to weather, site visits can occur during daylight hours throughout the spring, summer and early-fall at the volunteer’s convenience.
